About Chanceria
Chanceria is a management information system for independent schools — built around the idea that a pupil's record should start at the first enquiry and never be retyped again.
Where it came from
We started by building admissions software: the enquiry forms, the open-day bookings, the application pipeline. Schools kept asking the same question — the applicant has accepted, so why does someone now type them into a different system by hand? The honest answer was that admissions software and school management software had been built by different companies for different buyers, and the school was left carrying the join.
So we built the other half. Chanceria is the whole year: pupils and classes, attendance, assessment and reports, safeguarding, SEND, timetabling, fees and the parent portal — with the admissions pipeline at the front, on the same record.
What we believe
Admissions is not a separate product
A pupil who joins in September was an enquiry in October. Treating those as two systems is why schools retype families every year.
The database should enforce the boundary
Isolation that depends on every query remembering to filter is isolation that fails quietly. Ours fails closed instead.
Your data is not our retention strategy
Exports and an API come as standard. If you want to leave, the software should help you, not slow you down.
Who it is for
Independent schools in the UK — prep and senior, day and boarding — and the groups and trusts that run several of them. Each school is its own tenant with its own data, even within a group.
It is sold to the school and used by the school. Chanceria is not a directory, not a marketplace, and does not publish anything about your roll, your staff or your families.
See it against your own data
The fastest way to judge a school MIS is to look at your own school inside it. Send an export and we will set up a test tenant before the demo.
